Hi, I’m Brittany Martin. Strategist, super-facilitator, coach, and writer. I don’t teach leaders how to push harder. I help them stop overcompensating for structures that can’t hold what they’ve built.

For more than a decade, I’ve led inside multi-million-dollar companies, co-founded collaborative ventures, and partnered with founders across industries. The lesson is always the same: growth alone doesn’t create sustainability. Structure does.

Today I do that work inside my strategy studio, Work in Practice, and as the co--founder of an operations firm, Co-Op.

I help founders and leadership teams realign their businesses at the level of model, offer, market position, and operations. Not with templates, but with intentional strategies that can carry the weight of what they’re actually building.

My work isn’t about micromanagement or optimization for its own sake. It’s about creating clarity, designing systems that people can trust, and building businesses that sustain both revenue and the humans running them.

  • 2022 - 2025

    Overseeing a 27-member team and managing a $6M budget, I drove alignment between the CEO’s vision and daily operations while fostering a workplace rooted in psychological safety, accountability, and inclusivity.

    In my role, I operated at the intersection of strategy, operations, and leadership. I created systems to scale quarterly plans and project goals, developed cost models for scalable growth, and refined operational workflows to improve team efficiency.

    I spearheaded our first annual summit, managing a $3M budget to host 800 attendees and deliver a high-impact event. I also developed and launched a business coach certification program, onboarding 120 new clients and contributing to the company’s recognition on the Inc. 5000 list for four consecutive years.

    To drive performance, I revamped the performance management system, introducing OKRs to decentralize accountability and empower teams to meet key metrics and long-term goals. I facilitated executive alignment by leading weekly and daily huddles, refining processes, and ensuring the seamless execution of the CEO’s vision.

    In addition to these achievements, I played a critical role in capacity planning and resource allocation, ensuring that our team’s talents and financial resources were maximized. I partnered with subject matter experts to develop scalable content delivery systems and led culture-building efforts to align team dynamics with organizational goals.

    These initiatives not only sustained the company’s first 8-figure year but also laid the foundation for continued growth, innovation, and impact.

  • 2022

    I drove strategic planning initiatives and developed critical tools—such as an employee handbook and escalation systems—to streamline decision-making and enhance organizational efficiency. Collaborating closely with leadership, I set company-wide performance goals and managed seven direct reports, ensuring alignment and measurable success across teams.

    A key achievement was leading a marketing launch challenge that generated $1.6M in just two weeks. I transformed it into a recurring program, contributing an additional $2M in revenue in 2022. To support long-term strategy, I designed the Hello Seven mind map and co-developed the strategic flywheel, translating big-picture ideas into actionable systems that kept our remote teams aligned with the company’s mission and vision.

    I also created a CEO dashboard to increase accountability, overseeing project portfolios, time studies, and decision-making frameworks that drove clarity and consistency at every level of the organization.

  • 2020 - 2021

    I built the organizational infrastructure, growth strategy, and HR policies that drove revenue growth from $2M to $10M during a period of rapid expansion. Overseeing communications and leading a team of five direct reports, I developed operational systems to scale quarterly plans and project goals. I also established the company’s hiring function, collaborating with DEI consultants to create unbiased processes that expanded the team from 8 to 25 full-time employees.

    In 2021, I helped the company achieve its first 8-figure year, doubling revenue and increasing team efficiency from 57% to 71% within a single quarter by implementing a streamlined project management system. At the onset of the pandemic, I partnered with the CEO to pivot the business model, scaling a membership site to 1,500 clients and generating $4M.

    As part of the marketing team, I contributed to a major website rebranding effort that resulted in 7,000 preorders and $100K in book sales. Additionally, I launched the Hello Seven Foundation in just five days, raising $175K to provide life-saving services to Black mothers.

  • 2019 - 2020

    I designed and executed marketing strategies in partnership with the CEO, building the marketing department from the ground up and growing it to a team of three. I coached clients on messaging and strategy while creating high-performing content for promotions, newsletters, podcasts, and live events. Using subscriber analytics, I optimized email open rates and click-through rates to drive engagement and revenue growth.

    In my first month, I increased revenue by 40%, doubling it to $2M from 2018 to 2019. As the marketing and sales lead for a live event, I generated $226K in revenue with an impressive 93% profitability. Over the course of a year, I grew our active subscriber list by 60%, achieving a 21%+ open rate and creating $400K in revenue through email and social media campaigns.

    By expanding our social media following to 14,000+ in just eight months, I drove 46% growth in the first month and achieved 149% growth over six months, leveraging these platforms to amplify the brand’s reach and impact. My focus on scalable systems and data-driven strategies consistently delivered measurable, sustainable results.

  • 2018 - 2019

    As a Social Media Manager and Business Coach, I crafted and led strategic workshops for clients ranging from ambitious startups to thriving 7-figure businesses. I developed proven systems to boost social media growth and engagement while producing high-impact content for platforms, blogs, promotions, and newsletters.

    My focus on strategy and execution consistently drove measurable results, helping clients amplify their impact and scale with purpose.

  • 2015 - 2017

    As a Treasury Management Sales Officer at BancorpSouth (Cadence Bank), I honed my finance and sales expertise by delivering customized banking solutions and exceptional client support. I developed playbooks and training materials that became go-to resources for regional treasury managers, showcasing my ability to streamline operations and drive efficiency.

    Within just one year, I earned responsibility for managing multiple portfolios across a large region, thanks to my strategic account management and consistent success in exceeding sales targets. This role sharpened my skills in relationship management, operational excellence, and delivering results in high-pressure environments.

  • 2012 - 2017

    As Founder & CEO of Soul Food Project LLC, I built an online business from the ground up, delivering courses and virtual coaching that grew to nearly six figures in annual revenue. I led a team of creatives—including a social media manager, graphic designer, photographer, and editor—to write, market, and self-publish a book that became the cornerstone of the brand.

    In addition to overseeing all operations, I developed and executed a social media strategy that grew Instagram to 10,000 followers with a 7% engagement rate. I also connected directly with the community through a weekly Wellness Wednesday radio spot and activated the brand at events, blending online platforms with in-person engagement to amplify our mission and expand our reach.
